University of Wyoming
The University of Wyoming offers an online RN to BSN program through its Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing. The program is offered across the country to nurses seeking to further their nursing education. There is no campus time required and the program is approved by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The program requires a minimum of 120 credit hours, including credits for courses completed in previous nursing programs, general education credit hours, core credit hours, and nursing major hours. Lamar University offers an online RN to BSN program through its Dishman Department of Nursing for current licensed RNs with an associate degree in nursing. Students receive 29 credit hours for the nursing courses completed for the associate degree. The program requires an additional 30 nursing credits and the core nursing courses include nursing theories in nursing and online education, nursing inquiry and evidence-based practice, leadership and management, and synthesis in professional nursing. The Texas Board of Nursing approves the online RN to BSN program and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission fully accredits it. The tuition cost for Texas residents to attend Lamar University is $208 per credit hour and for non-residents it is $562 per credit hour.
Capella University
Capella University offers an online RN to BSN program through its Department of Nursing within the School of Public Service Leadership. The program strives to provide licensed RNs with additional knowledge to make a difference in today’s multifaceted health care settings. The program requires 180 credits for graduation.
